Enzyme Exercises 3

EXERCISE #3

Knee to Chest Stretch

For short leg syndrome, foot flare, hemipelvis, and knee flexion

Exercise 3 a

Lie on your back on the floor or a firm surface. Please note: This exercise should not be done on a bed. Bend one leg at the hip and knee, drawing the knee toward your chest. Grasp this knee with both hands and pull the knee as close to your chest as possible. The other knee must remain straight and flat on the table – this is very important.

Pulling your bent knee as close as possible toward your body, begin to straighten that

leg, pushing very hard against your hands which hold the leg in place.

Hold this isometric position for a slow count of five. Return the leg to the floor and rest.

This procedure is done three times with one leg, and then three times with the other.

Exercise 3 b

Then do three repetitions with both legs at the same time.
