Insight Subluxation Station
The Insight is an evaluation system designed to assess the nervous system.
The Insight™ Thermal Scanner assesses autonomic nervous system function by measuring skin temperature differentials. It utilizes data published in the Journal of Neurosurgery for normative comparison and reporting.
The Insight sEMG technology is similar to the technology used in EKG/heart rate measurement machines. One primary difference is that the Insight sensors are 1,000 times more sensitive, since the paraspinal muscles generate less electrical activity [action potential] than the heart muscle. The sensitivity and accuracy of the Insight technology is unsurpassed! One of the most exciting technologies in contemporary chiropractic practice, sEMG measures baseline status and changes in the electrical activity of paraspinal muscles in order to quantify the muscular changes associated with vertebral subluxations. This makes it a powerful tool for tracking outcome assessment results from chiropractic care.
The Insight PWP allows us to monitor the autonomic nervous system in new ways by collecting Heart Rate Variability (HRV) data. This is a unique, extremely exciting, and powerful tool. Heart Rate Variability is the beat-to-beat variation in heart rate. This natural rise and fall of heart rate is caused by several physiologic phenomena, including breathing and autonomic nervous system activity. Healthcare professionals utilize HRV for a wide variety of clinical applications. Chiropractors use HRV to get a window into how the autonomic nervous system (ANS) modulates heart rate in the baseline or resting state. Published research has demonstrated that chiropractic adjustments have favorable effects on HRV parameters.
The Insight™ Inclinometer is used to perform accurate spinal range-of-motion (ROM) measurements. ROM measurements are widely employed in chiropractic practice for clinical assessment of spinal dysfunction and impairment rating.
ProAdjuster
The ProAdjuster instrument measures whether the vertebra is too rigid or too fluid is by applying a light mechanical test force to the joints directly over the patient’s spine. This is different from manual palpation because when applying hands on pressure, the body goes into a normal defense posture mechanism. It causes the muscles to contract and guard against an impact.
Have you ever “flinched” at something? You know exactly what is meant by this. The piezoelectric sensor in the ProAdjuster instrument responds and registers information faster than your body’s ability to react. Therefore, a precise and accurate picture of the extent of rigidity or fluidity of each vertebra is reflected.
A light force is introduced into the vertebra to check motion, it is then reflected back to the piezoelectric sensor, which measures the reflective force, sending it to the computer for interpretation, all before the muscle can respond in its normal way. Isn’t that incredible? This is the same sensing technology that NASA subcontractors have used in the space program in order to evaluate the integrity of the ceramic cooling tiles on the outside of the space shuttle. The aviation industry, as well as civil engineers have used this technology in order to test metal fatigue in aircraft and bridge spans.
Chiropractors are now able to use this highly sophisticated technology applied to the human body to determine proper function. We can have the same level of care given to our bodies as multi-billion dollar spacecraft. Doesn’t that give you a sense of being special and give you a higher level of confidence?

The DRX9000 True Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression System™ provides a primary treatment modality for the management of pain and disability for patients suffering with incapacitating low back pain and sciatica.

How does it work?
The effects of Low Level Laser Therapy (3LT™) are photochemical (cold), not thermal. Hot lasers in the medical world are used for surgical precision while cold lasers are used for healing precision. During treatment of the tissue with the laser beam, an interaction between cells and photons takes place—a photochemical reaction. Photons from the laser affect the tissue at the cellular level. The cold laser enters the tissue, alters cell membrane permeability, and at the cellular level is absorbed in the mitochondria of the cell creating physiological changes such as:
- Rapid cell growth. The laser accelerates cellular reproduction and growth.
- Faster wound healing. The laser stimulates fibroblast development in damaged tissue. The reduction in recovery time is an important consideration.
- Increased metabolic activity. Helps the body increase output of specific enzymes, greater oxygen to blood cells and more effective immune response are induced by laser.
